The amounts for the legal minimum wage have increased by 4.3% effective January 1, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From that date forward, the legal minimum wage for employees aged 18 and up in fulltime employment is AWG 1,893.40 per month and AWG 441.60 per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For employees aged 18 and up who work more than 22 hours per week as \u2018live-in\u2019 home care workers, the legal minimum wage is raised from AWG 846.92 to AWG 883.35 effective January 1. Where the workweek is less than 22 hours, the legal minimum wage is AWG 9.85 per hour (up from AWG 9.45 per hour).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the minimum wage adjustment, the income limit for purposes of the Labor Ordinance 2013 (Arbeidsverordening 2013) has also raised effective January 1, 2023. The Labor Ordinance regulates working conditions such as the maximum working hours, rest days, overtime payments, and paid leave. The Labor Ordinance does not apply to all workers, only those who do not exceed the income limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new income limit effective January 1, 2023 is AWG 4,733.50 (the minimum wage of AWG 1,893.40, multiplied by a factor of 2.5). Workers with a monthly salary of AWG 4,733.50 or less, or an annual salary of AWG 56,802.00 or less, will fall under the protection of the Labor Ordinance and may claim all the working conditions that this law provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El salario m\u00ednimo legal para empleados con 18 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s, con respecto al tiempo completo del trabajo, ser\u00e1 AWG 1.893,40 y AWG 441.60 por semana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El salario m\u00ednimo para trabajadores con 18 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s que trabajen m\u00e1s de 22 horas por semana como \u201cresidencia\u201d empleados dom\u00e9sticos, se aumentar\u00e1 a partir del 1 de enero de AWG 846.92 a AWG 883.35 por mes.
