In addition to this scheme, the government has now announced a financial aid scheme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) losing turnover in result of the Corona crisis. Under this new scheme, which will become effective this month, individual SMEs can apply for a fixed allowance of AWG 4,000 per quarter (which will not be considered part of the company\u2019s turnover). The scheme will remain in place for up to 9 months, subject to a maximum of AWG 40 million and evaluation moments after every three months. The Social Security Bank (SVB) will be responsible for implementing the scheme.<\/p>\n<p> The financial aid under this scheme is subject to the following conditions:<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must be an SME according to the definition used by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS);<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must be registered with the SVB, with a maximum of 50 employees listed;<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must have been registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce on March 15, 2020 (does not apply to companies not legally obliged to be registered);<br \/>\n \u2022 The company and its employees must have been registered with the SVB on March 15, 2020;<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must have been registered with the Tax Authorities on March 15, 2020, and it must have a tax ID number;<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must expect its turnover to drop by at least 25% (as evidenced by its BBO\/BAZV\/BAVP returns for March and April 2020) \u2013 additional reports may be required for fiscal unities;<br \/>\n \u2022 The company must be established in Aruba, but may have one of several different legal forms (sole trader, limited liability company, etc.);<br \/>\n \u2022 The company may not be bankrupt and may not have petitioned the court for suspension of payments.<\/p>\n<p> Regards,<\/p>\n<p> Estimado cliente,<\/p>\n<p> Como expliqu\u00e9 en mi correo electr\u00f3nico del 20 de abril, el gobierno de Aruba est\u00e1 trabajando en un esquema temporal para subsidios salariales de emergencia. Adem\u00e1s de este esquema, el gobierno ha anunciado un plan de ayuda financiera para las peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas (SMEs) que pierden volumen de negocios como resultado de la crisis de Corona. Bajo este nuevo esquema, que entrar\u00e1 en vigencia este mes, las SMEs individuales pueden solicitar una asignaci\u00f3n fija de AWG 4.000 por trimester (que no se considerar\u00e1 parte de la facturaci\u00f3n de la empresa). El esquema permanecer\u00e1 en vigencia hasta por 9 meses, sujeto a un m\u00e1ximo de AWG 40 millones y momentos de evaluaci\u00f3n cada tres meses. El Banco de la Seguridad Social (SVB) ser\u00e1 responsable de implementar el esquema.<\/p>\n<p> La ayuda financiera bajo este esquema est\u00e1 sujeta a las siguientes condiciones:<br \/>\n \u2022 La empresa debe ser una SME de acuerdo con la definici\u00f3n utilizada por la Oficina Central de Estad\u00edstica (CBS);<br \/>\n \u2022 La empresa debe estar registrada en la SVB, con un m\u00e1ximo de 50 empleados en la lista;<br \/>\n \u2022 La empresa debe haberse registrado en el Registro de Comercio de la C\u00e1mara de Comercio el 15 de marzo de 2020 (no se aplica a las empresas que no est\u00e1n legalmente obligadas a registrarse);<br \/>\n \u2022 La empresa y sus empleados deben haberse registrado en la SVB el 15 de marzo de 2020;<br \/>\n \u2022 La empresa debe haberse registrado con las autoridades fiscales el 15 de marzo de 2020 y debe tener un n\u00famero de identificaci\u00f3n fiscal;<br \/>\n \u2022 La compa\u00f1\u00eda debe esperar que su facturaci\u00f3n disminuya al menos en un 25% (como lo demuestran sus declaraciones de BBO\/BAZV\/BAVP para marzo y abril de 2020); es posible que se requieran informes adicionales para las unidades fiscales;<br \/>\n \u2022 La compa\u00f1\u00eda debe estar establecida en Aruba, pero puede tener una de varias formas legales diferentes (comerciante \u00fanico, compa\u00f1\u00eda de responsabilidad limitada, etc.);<br \/>\n \u2022 La compa\u00f1\u00eda puede no estar en bancarrota y no haber solicitado al tribunal la suspensi\u00f3n de pagos.<\/p>\n<p> Saludos,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear client, As I explained in my email of April 20, the Aruba government is working on a temporary scheme for emergency salary subsidies.
